Description

Everything you need next to your matcha bowl, made in Japan. The bamboo chasen whisks are handmade in Takayama (Nara), the town that has made tea whisks for 500 years; the more tines (kazuho = many fine tines), the creamier the foam. Bamboo chashaku scoops are carved by hand, so each one is slightly different. A ceramic whisk stand (kusenaoshi) keeps the whisk in shape between uses. We also list a Japanese resin whisk that does not break – practical for daily matcha lattes – and resin natsume tea caddies with maki-e style decoration.
